Jared Goff continued to make history on Thursday night in the Detroit Lions’ victory over the Green Bay Packers, adding to his impressive season. While his five-interception performance in Week 10 against the Houston Texans is a blemish, Goff has largely been outstanding in 2024, displaying a level of efficiency rarely seen in the NFL.
In the game against Green Bay, Goff completed 32 of 41 passes for 283 yards, throwing three touchdowns and one interception, posting a 109.7 passer rating and a 90.9 QBR. He also contributed with his legs when necessary.
The Lions’ passing attack was well-balanced, as Goff connected with six different receivers. Although Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta fantasy owners might have been disappointed, two of Goff’s touchdowns were caught by Tim Patrick, with the third going to running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
Here’s how the Lions’ pass-catchers performed:
Patrick: 6 catches for 43 yards
Gibbs (RB): 6 catches for 30 yards
Jameson Williams (WR): 5 catches for 80 yards
LaPorta (TE): 5 catches for 54 yards
St. Brown (WR): 5 catches for 43 yards
David Montgomery (RB): 5 catches for 33 yards
Brock Wright (TE): 0 catches, 1 target
In addition to his solid performance, Goff achieved a remarkable milestone. According to OptaStats, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to complete passes to six different receivers in a game, with each receiver hauling in at least five catches.
