Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is a proud father of four daughters, a family dynamic that aligns perfectly with his wishes. According to his wife, Kelly Stafford, Matthew always dreamed of having “all girls” and never desired a son.
Speaking on the “Absolutely Not” podcast with Heather McMahan, Kelly discussed her journey as a mother and revealed Matthew’s preference for daughters. She shared, “He didn’t want a boy.
Did not want one. Wanted all girls, he got what he wanted. I wanted all boys. God knew what he was doing because, like my mom, I’m fiery, and I’d want my son to be better than Matthew. That’s pressure on a kid who doesn’t even exist.”
Kelly’s comments followed a recent family trip to Florida. Upon returning home, she shared how their Hidden Hills home was adorned with Christmas lights, though her daughters found the display “underwhelming.”
Matthew Stafford’s First Encounter with Kelly’s Large Family Was Overwhelming
Recalling the early days of their relationship, Kelly shared how Matthew was caught off guard by her large family. During a recent episode of her “The Morning After” podcast, she recounted his reaction:
“One of the first times Matthew met my family, he didn’t realize how big it was. At a cookout with 60 family members, he suddenly disappeared. I found him in a locked room, needing a moment alone. He said, ‘I just needed five minutes,’ and I told him, ‘My family rules!'”
As Christmas approaches, Kelly Stafford continues her festive preparations but recently shared a mishap where she misplaced a decoration after coming home “high” from a dinner date.
