J.J. Watt, a former NFL star, shared a funny and bold offer he received from a Detroit Lions fan during his recent visit to the Motor City. While attending the Lions’ game against the Buffalo Bills, Watt, now working as a CBS analyst, had a memorable encounter that left both him and the fan laughing.
During his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, Watt recounted the hilarious moment when the fan jokingly offered him a whopping $99 million to come out of retirement and play for the Lions. Known for his wit, Watt didn’t hesitate to play along, quipping that he would definitely accept such a lucrative deal if it were real.
Although Watt made it clear that the offer was all in fun, the idea of such a massive payday sparked curiosity among many about what could have been if the fan’s offer had been serious.
While in Detroit, Watt also had the chance to try a local favorite – the famous Coney dog. He couldn’t resist praising the dish, saying, “When someone hands you a Coney dog, how can you not eat it?” It was clear that Watt enjoyed his brief time in the city, both for the food and the lively atmosphere.
Though Watt is now focused on his broadcasting career, Lions fans can still dream about the possibility of their team adding another legendary player to the roster. Perhaps the Coney dog could even play a role in convincing Watt to return!
