The Detroit Lions are gearing up for their most important game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday night at Ford Field, amid controversy surrounding safety Kerby Joseph. Joseph, who starred at the University of Illinois and is now emerging as a key player in the NFL, has recorded nine interceptions this season, leading the league. His performance has continued to improve each week under defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.

However, on Thursday, Joseph expressed frustration over his omission from the recently announced Pro Bowl rosters. He made a six-word statement regarding the snub, stating that he values being named to the All-Pro team more, calling it the “true recognition.” “I’m not too concerned about it, you know,” Joseph said, adding, “I’m focused on the Super Bowl, I wasn’t planning on going to the Pro Bowl anyway.”

Joseph, with nine interceptions, stands two ahead of second-place Xavier McKinney of the Green Bay Packers, as the leader in the NFL entering the Lions’ final game against Sam Darnold and the Vikings. Detroit enters as a 2.5-point favorite for the contest, which will decide the NFC North champion on Sunday Night Football.
