Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has opted out of the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games due to an undisclosed injury.

The All-Pro receiver becomes the second Detroit Lions player to withdraw, joining right tackle Penei Sewell. St. Brown’s absence comes after another stellar season, although his totals in catches and yardage fell slightly from last year.

He set a career-high with 12 touchdowns (including a passing touchdown). Among NFL receivers in 2024, St. Brown ranked second in receptions (115), fifth in receiving yards (1,263), and third in touchdowns. He earned First-Team All-Pro honors for the second straight year and finished third in Pro Bowl voting among NFC receivers.

St. Brown’s absence will be felt, as he has been a highlight at the Pro Bowl Games the past two seasons. In 2023, he won the Best Catch competition, while last year, he participated in the Dodgeball event and the flag football game, where he recorded 10 catches for 117 yards and a touchdown.

St. Brown’s spot will be filled by Giants rookie Malik Nabers.

As of now, the Lions’ anticipated Pro Bowl participants include quarterback Jared Goff, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, left tackle Taylor Decker (in place of Sewell), center Frank Ragnow, safety Brian Branch, and punter Jack Fox.
