As NFL free agency nears, cornerback Carlton Davis, formerly with the Detroit Lions, is expected to garner interest from multiple teams. The 28-year-old defensive back is known for his physical playing style and versatility, making him an attractive option for front offices looking to strengthen their secondary.

A recent scouting report from ESPN suggests that the Jacksonville Jaguars are among the teams likely to pursue Davis. NFL insider Jeremy Fowler mentioned that the Jaguars plan to evaluate the market for experienced cornerbacks and could view Davis as a strong candidate for their roster.

During the scouting combine, offensive coordinator Liam Coen highlighted the importance of playing with more physicality. To support this approach, the Jaguars brought in Eric Siano, a well-regarded figure in the strength and conditioning field who previously worked with the Buffalo Bills.

Coen emphasized that Siano’s extensive experience would be instrumental in shaping the team’s competitive edge. He also stressed the need for a more aggressive style of play to successfully navigate the challenges of the AFC.

Kevin Zeitler on Chicago’s Radar

The Chicago Bears may explore the possibility of adding veteran offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler to their roster.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Zeitler, who spent last season with the Lions, has expressed interest in joining the Bears in the past. Turning 35 on March 8, he would likely be considered a short-term option, but Chicago could see him as a viable addition if they focus on signing a center in free agency and drafting a guard in the early rounds.

Such a move would significantly reshape the interior of their offensive line, potentially bringing in three new starters.
