The Detroit Lions are gearing up for the 2025 NFL Draft with the goal of building on their impressive 15-2 regular season performance and recovering from an early playoff loss. Despite some changes in the coaching staff and coordinators this offseason, the Lions remain focused on bolstering their roster, with the ultimate aim of securing a Super Bowl victory.
One player who has been a key contributor to the Lions’ recent success is Brian Branch, a standout defensive back. After making a strong impact in his rookie season and earning a Pro Bowl selection, Branch is now offering his recommendation for Detroit’s next draft pick. On X, he shared his thoughts, urging general manager Brad Holmes to consider targeting Jihaad Campbell, a linebacker who played alongside Branch at Alabama in 2022. Branch believes Campbell would be an excellent addition to the Lions’ defense.
Given Holmes’ affinity for selecting players from Alabama, it wouldn’t be surprising if Campbell were to be chosen with the Lions’ No. 28 pick in the 2025 Draft. Known for his exceptional tackling ability at Alabama, Campbell would be a natural fit in Detroit’s defensive lineup.
