Marcus Mariota

Nick Mullens
Mullens has spent the past few seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, making him a familiar name within the NFC North. While he only attempted two passes last year, he played a significant role in 2023 when Kirk Cousins was sidelined, throwing for 1,306 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions in five appearances.
Mullens wouldn’t challenge for a starting role, making him an affordable and steady backup option if Detroit looks for an experienced veteran.
Dillon Gabriel
If the Lions decide to address the backup quarterback position in the draft, Dillon Gabriel is an intriguing prospect. Over 63 collegiate games at UCF, Oklahoma, and Oregon, he racked up over 18,000 passing yards and 155 touchdowns, showcasing his ability to adapt and process the game at a high level.
Gabriel is projected to be a Day 3 pick, making him a budget-friendly choice with long-term potential. If he proves himself in camp, he could secure the backup role and develop behind Goff.
