Netflix is bringing back its popular Quarterback docuseries for a second season, highlighting three notable NFL quarterbacks: Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals, Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, and Kirk Cousins of the Atlanta Falcons. This new season is set to release in July 2025 and is produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions.
The first season, which debuted in the summer of 2023, featured Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota, and Cousins, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of top quarterbacks, both on and off the field. It included exclusive interviews and mic’d-up moments during games.
Season 2 will focus on Burrow’s remarkable 2024 season, where he led the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns and earned the AP’s Comeback Player of the Year award. Goff’s story will showcase the Lions’ journey to becoming the NFC’s top seed, before their season ended in a disappointing wild-card loss. As for Cousins, his return to the series will highlight his move to Atlanta, where he faced high expectations but was eventually benched in favor of rookie Michael Penix.
The series continues to offer an intimate look at the lives of NFL quarterbacks, bringing fans closer to the action.
