Several Detroit Lions players will be donning new jersey numbers for the 2025 NFL season. The team announced on Thursday that eight players are making number changes, and they also revealed the numbers for newly acquired free agents.

Among the most notable changes, wide receiver Jameson Williams is shifting from No. 9 to No. 1, a number he wore during his standout college season at Alabama. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs, on the other hand, is moving from No. 26 to No. 0. This change is significant since Williams had previously expressed interest in wearing No. 1 after the Lions traded Jeff Okudah, but had chosen not to take it at the time.

In another key change, first-round pick Terrion Arnold will transition from No. 0 to No. 6, filling the spot left vacant after Ifeatu Melifonwu departed in free agency.

Here is the full list of players changing their numbers along with their previous ones:

  • RB Jahmyr Gibbs — 0 (previously 26)
  • WR Jameson Williams — 1 (previously 9)
  • WR Tim Patrick — 12 (previously 17)
  • EDGE Al-Quadin Muhammad — 96 (previously 69)
  • DT Brodric Martin — 99 (previously 96)
  • CB Terrion Arnold — 6 (previously 0)
  • CB Ennis Rakestraw — 9 (previously 15)
  • DB Morice Norris — 26 (previously 40)

  • TE Kenny Yeboah — 88
  • DT Roy Lopez — 51
  • LB Grant Stuard — 15
