Wide receiver Matthew Golden took the time to meet with the Detroit Lions over the weekend. Golden, who posted the fastest 40-yard dash time among wide receivers at this year’s Scouting Combine, impressed NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
After two seasons at Houston, Golden transferred to Texas for the 2024 season, where he recorded 58 receptions for 907 yards and nine touchdowns. He also clocked a remarkable 4.29-second 40-yard dash in Indianapolis earlier this year.
While the Lions return key wideouts like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Tim Patrick, and Kalif Raymond from last season, they might consider adding a new dynamic to their offense if Golden is available when it’s their turn to pick in the upcoming draft.
