As the July live evaluation period kicks off for AAU basketball, Kentucky head coach Mark Pope and his staff have been actively scouting talent across multiple events this weekend.

In the midst of building momentum with several high-profile prospects, the Wildcats have added a new recruit to their radar.

Per a report by Jacob Polacheck of KSR, UK assistant coach Cody Fueger recently initiated contact with Jacob Webber, a highly regarded 4-star wing. Webber confirmed that the Wildcats reached out to him on Monday.

Webber, who stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 175 pounds, hails from Kearney, Nebraska, but currently competes for La Lumiere School in Indiana. He’s already attracted scholarship offers from a variety of programs, including Nebraska, Washington, Creighton, and California, along with other mid-major schools. Given his strong showing over the weekend, that list of suitors could soon expand.

While it’s too early to predict how Kentucky will proceed with his recruitment, the initial outreach suggests they’re at least exploring the possibility. For now, Webber’s name has officially been added to the Wildcats’ 2026 recruiting board.

According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Webber is a 4-star talent and ranks No. 95 nationally in the 2026 recruiting class.
