As the 2026 NFL Draft approaches, the Florida Gators lack a lot of high-end talent. With the exception of Caleb Banks, who plays defensive tackle, there is a huge decline.

Nonetheless, Florida has a sleeper in the form of cornerback Devin Moore, who may turn out to be one of the biggest steals in this year’s draft class.

In a recent three-round mock draft, Pro Football Focus’ Gordon McGuiness predicted that the Pittsburgh Steelers would select Moore with the 76th overall choice.

Moore would undoubtedly be a welcome addition for the Steelers considering their obvious need for help in their secondary.

Additionally, he may represent one of the best corners that emerge from the board overall.

Moore has a lot going for him. He is 200 pounds and six feet three inches tall, giving him an exceptional physique for the position of cornerback. Moore has shown the capacity to lock down when he is healthy.

Moore had an interception, four passes defended, two tackles for loss, and 35 tackles in 11 games this previous year.

Moore’s versatility is a significant selling factor since he is not only physically imposing but also highly athletic, capable of covering a lot of ground.

Injuries have been a problem for Moore, since he didn’t complete a complete season until 2025. In 2022, he moved to Florida, where he competed in seven events before beginning his last campaign in the Swamp.

Because Moore’s durability is questionable, he may definitely be harmed in a draft class that has a lot of depth at the cornerback position. This is a big factor in why many people see him as a third or fourth round pick this April.

Moore has all the skills to be picked in the early rounds, and he will undoubtedly be one of the most interesting defensive backs to watch at the NFL Scouting Combine this week.

If Moore performs well in Indianapolis, it wouldn’t be unexpected if he sneaks into the second round of the draft.

Between now and the end of April, a lot might happen, and even if Avieon Terrell, Jermod McCoy, and Mansoor Delane are the top prospects at cornerback, Moore might prove to be the gem of the group.
