Former Broncos Lineman Netane Muti Rejoin Detroit Lions

During his three seasons with the Broncos, Muti made four starts, showing flashes of the talent that had made him a draft prospect despite his injury history. However, Denver cut him before the 2022 season. Muti then signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, spending two years with the team before joining Detroit.

Muti inked a reserve/future contract with the Lions after the 2023 season, hoping to compete for a starting role in 2024. Unfortunately, his plans were derailed by a shoulder injury that landed him on injured reserve for the entire season. It was yet another setback in a career marked by injuries, including a torn knee ligament, a torn Achilles, a Lisfranc injury, and now the recent shoulder issue.

Despite these challenges, the Lions are giving Muti another opportunity, betting on his potential to contribute if he can stay healthy. Muti’s size, power, and versatility make him an intriguing piece for Detroit’s offensive line, but his ability to remain on the field will ultimately determine his impact.
