Former Detroit Lions Matthew Stafford’s Wife Sends Strong 4-Word Message After Husband’s Major Career Announcement

In the weeks after the season ended, Stafford’s name surfaced in several trade discussions. However, the Rams put all speculation to rest on Friday by finalizing a restructured contract with the veteran quarterback.

After the news broke, Stafford’s wife, Kelly Stafford, shared her reaction on social media with a simple four-word statement:

“No place like home.”

Stafford originally inked a four-year, $160 million contract extension with the Rams in 2022. Before restructuring his deal, he still had two years remaining on that contract heading into the 2025 season.

Since arriving in Los Angeles in 2021 via a trade that sent Jared Goff to the Detroit Lions, Stafford has led the franchise to a Super Bowl championship—the second in Rams history.

Although he is in the latter part of his career, Stafford continues to perform at a high level. Last season, he threw for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns while completing 65.8% of his passes.
