Detroit Lions offensive lineman Graham Glasgow recently raised eyebrows with a candid comment about former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, labeling him as “a little more uppity” during a radio interview on 97.1 The Ticket’s Costa and Jansen Show with Heather. While the term “uppity” often carries a negative undertone, Glasgow’s intent appeared far from critical—instead highlighting Johnson’s high-energy, detail-oriented coaching style.

Glasgow elaborated that Johnson’s approach to coaching created a fast-paced, intense practice environment, describing him as someone who was “always getting after it.” The offensive lineman noted that Johnson brought a sense of urgency to every drill, consistently pushing players to elevate their performance. This stood in contrast to the Lions’ current offensive coordinator, John Morton, who Glasgow said has a more laid-back demeanor.
