As the Kentucky Wildcats gear up for an exciting second season under head coach Mark Pope, the new-look roster is already making waves during summer practice sessions in Lexington. This offseason, the Wildcats added several new faces through the transfer portal, one of the most notable being former Pitt Panther guard Jaland Lowe.

Lowe, who had a breakout year at Pittsburgh during the 2024-25 season, brings an impressive résumé to the Wildcats. Averaging 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game last season, Lowe quickly emerged as one of the top playmakers in the ACC. His strong performance caught the attention of several programs, but it was Kentucky—and the opportunity to play under Mark Pope—that ultimately won him over.
