This year, the Wisconsin coaching team appears to have the appropriate tone. Everyone agrees that the last few years have been awful, and Badger supporters should be furious. Jeff Grimes is one of the most recent people to empathize with what Wisconsin supporters have had to endure with the football program. He promises that things will change, and that this year will be the year that changes become evident.

After practice on Tuesday, March 24, Grimes addressed the media, saying, “I want the people of Wisconsin to be proud of their football team. ” He stated that he has been impressed by Wisconsin fans at previous athletic events, and that he appreciates their enthusiasm and drive for the sport. He’s most likely referring to volleyball, hockey, and basketball. Grimes intends for the same to be true for the football program.

Jeff Grimes reports that the football program has improved this year.

Grimes concludes his message to Wisconsin supporters by stating that they are no longer focused on the past. It’s time to move forward, and excitement for the season is growing. This team is going to improve, and this year will be fantastic. He wants Wisconsin supporters to be proud of the squad once more.

Wisconsin supporters wanted this type of understanding from the staff, not excuses or trifles, but genuine responsibility for It’s been terrible, but it will improve.

Now the proof will be in the pudding, so to speak. The football team will need to go out and win games to prove that the program has improved. However, it is comforting when coaches accept, own, and build a plan for development with a stronger team. A squad capable of competing for the Big Ten and contending for a decent bowl berth.

Wisconsin supporters don’t necessarily want a national title this season, but they do want a winning program. A product that is moving in the proper direction, as well as a football team capable of defeating any opponent on the field. That’s step one, and we’ll think about step two next year.
