Kelly Stafford, Wife of Former Lions QB Matthew Stafford, Opens Up About Plastic Surgery Makeover After Four Kids

During a candid episode of The Morning After, Kelly welcomed her plastic surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, to the show, where she spoke openly about undergoing a “mommy makeover.”

In the conversation, she revealed: “You redid my breasts, performed a tummy tuck, and fixed up my butt,” noting that she had previously had breast augmentation years prior.

Kelly expressed that the procedures have left her feeling “amazing” and “empowered,” though she admitted to having initial reservations. She explained her motivation, saying: “You want to make these changes while you still have that desire to feel attractive.” She acknowledged that this feeling may return years later but emphasized the physical challenges that can increase with age.

She also shared her past misconceptions, recalling, “I used to think a tummy tuck was just liposuction,” adding that it wasn’t until she understood it also involved skin removal that the reality sank in. She hinted that she and Matthew are likely finished expanding their family, reasoning that undergoing such surgery wouldn’t make sense if pregnancy were still on the horizon.

“You don’t want to remove all that skin and then get pregnant again—it defeats the purpose,” she said.

Kelly has been outspoken about her health in the past. In 2019, she was diagnosed with acoustic neuroma, a non-cancerous brain tumor that can affect hearing and balance. Four years after undergoing surgery for the condition, she reflected on Instagram, saying: “April 17, 2019, is a date I now celebrate. It’s my annual reminder that life is precious and worth enjoying.”

She encouraged others to embrace challenges with faith and resilience, stating: “It’s how we face adversity that defines us.” She ended the post with gratitude for the role that day played in shaping the woman, mother, and wife she is today, accompanied by a brain emoji and the hashtag #anwarrior.
