Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, had an eventful return to the United States after a week in London. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, she revealed that her first day back didn’t go quite as planned — she was pulled over by police.
“First day back on American soil… and it starts with getting pulled over,” Kelly joked in her Instagram story.
Kelly had flown to London with the couple’s four daughters — Sawyer, Chandler, Hunter, and Tyler — to support Matthew during the Rams’ dominant Week 7 performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. The Rams crushed the Jaguars 35–7, with Stafford throwing for 182 yards and five touchdowns, three of which went to Davante Adams.
Before her encounter with law enforcement, Kelly shared a heartwarming post from the trip, showing her daughter meeting Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua after the game.
“She was completely starstruck trying to talk to Puka Nacua,” Kelly wrote. “Pretty sure this is her first crush.”
During the family’s London adventure, Kelly had also shared a humorous post about managing four kids overseas. “Day one in London and I’m already questioning my life choices,” she captioned a photo of her kids on Sunday.
The Rams will have a break during Week 8 before returning to the field on November 2 for their matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
