Kentucky’s basketball program is among several teams expressing interest in Kennard Davis, a forward transferring from BYU, according to information from League Ready. Davis, a 6-foot-6 wing player, spent the 2025-26 season with BYU.
During his time at BYU, Davis posted averages of 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest, starting every one of his 32 games. He participated for nearly 30 minutes each game and proved to be a valuable asset, reaching double-digit scoring on 11 occasions, including a 20-point effort in the Big 12 Tournament against West Virginia.
Prior to his tenure at BYU, Davis had a successful period at Southern Illinois, where he averaged 16.3 points per game during the 2024-25 season and received Second Team All-Missouri Valley Conference recognition. Over his two seasons with the Salukis, he maintained an average of 10.3 points and converted more than 44 percent of his field goal attempts.
Kentucky’s pursuit highlights the team’s ongoing focus on acquiring seasoned, adaptable athletes via the transfer market. Davis aligns with this approach due to his capacity to operate in various wing roles, enhance offensive spacing, and provide defensive value with his reach and engagement.
While Davis recorded a 32.1 percent success rate from beyond the arc at BYU, he displayed moments of impressive shooting ability, such as a notable performance against top-ranked Arizona, where he successfully made five three-pointers without a miss in a single half.
