March 28, 2025
BOWLING GREEN, KY – A Michigan man has been arrested in connection with the theft of eight Corvettes, worth a combined $1.2 million, from a General Motors plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Authorities claim that the man, along with an unidentified accomplice, who drove a Jeep with Ohio license plates, stole the luxury cars from the plant’s rear lot. The incident was first reported when a woman saw a red Corvette, still bearing its price tag, parked at a local apartment complex. Upon further investigation, police found two additional stolen Corvettes nearby, and GM officials later confirmed that eight vehicles had been taken.

Security footage from the apartment complex revealed that three stolen Corvettes were brought to the location, with one suspect seen leaving a light gray Corvette. Additionally, a transport driver reported a strange encounter with two men who seemed to be rushing him to transport damaged Corvettes to Michigan.

Authorities believe that at least nine people were involved in the theft, with the thieves reportedly cutting a hole in a chain-link fence to drive the cars off the lot. Investigators are continuing to identify the other suspects, and more arrests are anticipated. The arrested individual, Walker, has no known affiliation with the GM plant.
