Kentucky Star Koby Brea Declares for 2025 NBA Draft with One-Word Post

The Kentucky Wildcats had a strong showing during the 2024-25 college basketball season under new head coach Mark Pope. Although the team didn’t make a long run in the NCAA Tournament, the season was still considered a success overall.

One of the standout performers was Koby Brea, who played a vital leadership role for Kentucky throughout the year. The Wildcats wrapped up the season with an impressive 24-12 record. They secured a 76-57 victory over No. 14 seed Troy in the tournament’s opening round, followed by an 84-75 upset of No. 6 seed Illinois in the second round. Unfortunately, their run ended in the Sweet Sixteen with a loss to No. 2 seed Tennessee.

After the season concluded, Brea took to social media platform X to make a brief but significant announcement about his next step. With a single word and a praying hands emoji, he revealed his decision to declare for the 2025 NBA Draft, officially ending his college career.

Brea had a productive season, appearing in 36 games and starting in 16 of them. He averaged 11.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. His shooting was a major asset—he hit 47 percent from the field and an impressive 43.5 percent from three-point range.

Though his presence will be missed in Lexington, Wildcat fans will undoubtedly support him as he chases his professional dreams. His elite perimeter shooting makes him an attractive prospect for NBA teams in search of reliable long-range scorers.
