Five-star Recruit Anthony Thompson Sets Official Visit to Kentucky, Eyes Fall Decision
Anthony Thompson, one of the top basketball prospects in the 2026 class, has scheduled an official visit to the University of Kentucky, with a decision likely coming shortly afterward.
As reported by Travis Branham of 247Sports, Thompson will be in Lexington on September 24. The five-star guard is also planning official visits to Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, and Indiana. However, with Kentucky being the final confirmed stop on his visit tour, the Wildcats may be in a strong position heading into his decision.
Thompson, who has already taken two unofficial visits to Kentucky, is currently ranked No. 5 overall in the 2026 recruiting class. Branham notes that Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio State appear to be the leading contenders in his recruitment.
The expectation is that Thompson will make his college commitment before the early signing period this fall, setting up a critical few months for the programs still in the running.
