As the recruiting season ramps up, Kentucky head coach Mark Pope and his staff continue to make strides in building a strong class for 2026. Among the top prospects showing interest in the Wildcats is 4-star wing Anthony Felesi, who has begun mapping out his recruitment journey — with a potential visit to Lexington on the horizon.
Felesi, a standout on the AAU circuit, is gaining significant traction as the summer winds down. With high school players preparing to make official visits in the fall, Felesi has revealed his plan to begin touring campuses at the start of his senior year. According to a recent interview with recruiting analyst Jamie Polacheck, Felesi is looking to make his college commitment by the middle of his senior season.
“I’ll start taking visits at the start of my senior year, and my commitment will probably be mid-year of my senior year,” said Felesi. “My main goal is to get to that second contract in the NBA. It’s about the development part and playing right away once I get into the league.”
Felesi’s focus on early development and pro-level preparation makes Kentucky an attractive option. Under Pope’s leadership, the Wildcats are emphasizing player development and immediate opportunities to contribute — two factors that align well with Felesi’s long-term ambitions.
The talented wing, who stands out for his versatility and high motor on both ends of the court, currently holds offers from several top programs, including UCLA, Louisville, Villanova, Oregon, BYU, and others. On3 ranks him as the No. 42 overall prospect in the 2026 class, and his stock continues to rise with each impressive performance.
While Kentucky has not yet secured an official visit date from Felesi, the mutual interest appears strong. The Wildcats’ consistent involvement in his recruitment — coupled with Mark Pope’s Utah connections, which could help build rapport — positions them as a serious contender in his decision-making process.
As fall visits begin and Felesi evaluates his options more closely, Kentucky will aim to make a strong impression. A visit to Lexington could potentially elevate the Wildcats to the top of his list and give them a real shot at landing one of the most dynamic wings in the 2026 cycle.
