The rumor about Collin Chandler that everyone has been somewhat anticipating seems to be getting closer to the truth.
The BYU Cougars appeared to be a potential landing spot for the high-flying guard from the Kentucky Wildcats when he joined the transfer portal.
Although Collin Chandler, who transferred from Kentucky, is currently a leading candidate for BYU, he has kept the possibility of a return to Kentucky open, depending on how discussions go in the next days.
It is especially interesting to note that a return to Kentucky is still conceivable.
Chandler averaged 9. 7 points, 2. 8 rebounds, and 2. 3 assists per game as a sophomore this winter, and he also made a few spectacular dunks.
While in high school, he had pledged to Mark Pope at BYU, but after Chandler’s two-year mission journey, Pope had relocated to Kentucky, so Chandler had gone with him.
Chandler would be returning to his home state, and BYU has spent a lot of NIL cash lately.
When he entered the portal, the possibility of a comeback to Kentucky didn’t seem very high, which has further complicated matters.
Whatever Chandler decides has the potential to significantly alter the upcoming college basketball season.
