The Detroit Lions’ 2024 draft class received unfavorable evaluations in a recent NFL.com ranking of teams’ first-year players. The Lions’ class was rated 28th out of 32 teams, earning a C- grade. Only the Chiefs, Bills, Vikings, and Browns had worse ratings.

Detroit’s rookies faced a challenging situation due to the team’s experienced roster, which limited opportunities for early playing time. Cornerback Terrion Arnold and offensive lineman Christian Mahogany were among the players who earned significant snaps as starters. Other rookies, including Sione Vaki, Ennis Rakestraw, and Mekhi Wingo, had chances to showcase their abilities, but injuries hindered their opportunities for further impact.
