As the Detroit Lions prepare to take on the Minnesota Vikings after their bye week, head coach Dan Campbell has plenty to be happy about — both on and off the field. While the Lions are riding high at 5-2 and looking to extend their success at Ford Field, Campbell’s wife, Holly Campbell, recently had her own reason to celebrate.

Holly was featured on Hour Detroit’s “Best Dressed” list, earning recognition for her distinct fashion sense and creative style. Sharing her excitement on Instagram, she thanked her stylist and favorite designers, writing, “Thank you @stylingbycynthia for finding the perfect @eliesaabworld skirt. And for holding my dream @balmain dress until I had the best reason to wear it!”

Her recognition is the result of years of experience in the fashion industry. According to her website, Holly has spent over two decades working as a designer, educator, and creative director — including as a co-founder of Totty Rocks, a well-known Edinburgh fashion brand. Today, she channels her expertise into her own clothing label, simply titled Holly Campbell.

Her career mirrors her husband’s journey in many ways — both built their success on persistence, creativity, and resilience. The couple’s story dates back to 1999, the same year Dan was drafted by the New York Giants. Since then, they’ve built a close-knit family, raising two children — Cody and Piper — while navigating life in football and fashion.

Holly has often spoken about her husband’s trademark energy, telling People magazine that, “You can laugh hysterically or just tell him to stop talking — he’s magic, like the Pied Piper.” That “magic” could be exactly what the Lions need heading into Week 9.

Lions Poised for Another Strong Performance

Detroit enters the matchup against Minnesota coming off a Monday night victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and all signs point to another strong showing. When the schedule was first released, this NFC North game seemed like a potential thriller. But after the Los Angeles Chargers demolished the Vikings 37–10, the excitement cooled — and Minnesota’s season has since unraveled.

The Vikings took a big risk by letting Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones leave in free agency to bet on rookie J.J. McCarthy, but his ankle injury has kept him sidelined since Week 2. If McCarthy can’t go, Carson Wentz will likely start again — despite battling a sore shoulder and struggling in recent weeks.

Injuries have also wrecked Minnesota’s offensive line. Christian Darrisaw, Brian O’Neill, and Ryan Kelly have all missed time, leaving Wentz under constant pressure and the Vikings with just 34 rushing yards last game — a nightmare scenario against Detroit’s aggressive front.

Meanwhile, the Lions’ defense continues to thrive. They held Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers to single digits, rank 10th in the NFL in pressure rate (23.6%), and could soon get key reinforcements like Terrion Arnold and Alim McNeill back in the lineup.

With Detroit firing on all cylinders and the Vikings limping into Week 9, Dan Campbell and the Lions look well-positioned to keep their winning momentum rolling.
