After the team confirmed he was stable, Norris posted, “Amen, Amen. I’m all good, man. Don’t worry about me. I appreciate all the check-ins and the love.”

The Lions later released a statement saying Norris was alert, had full movement in his arms and legs, and would remain at Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital overnight for observation. The organization also thanked the Falcons, stadium emergency responders, and hospital staff for their professionalism and assistance.

The decision to stop the game drew praise from Lions head coach Dan Campbell, who commended Falcons head coach Raheem Morris for his compassion and quick agreement to halt play. Morris explained afterward, “For me and Dan, it was about respecting Morice Norris and his family. These situations are rare, but in that moment, stopping the game was the right call for both teams.”

Cornerback Terrion Arnold, visibly relieved at the news, shared his joy online: “Y’all don’t understand how happy I am to see my brother smiling. God has a way of reminding us not to take this game for granted. We put our livelihoods on the line every time we play, and I’m just thankful my brother is alive and doing well.”
