Lions re-sign two key contributors Reynolds and O’Connor for depth on offense and defense, Detroit Lion shared update on their social media platforms

In the previous season, Reynolds participated in 17 games, recording 31 carries for 139 yards, while also contributing 272 snaps on special teams. Since head coach Dan Campbell’s arrival in 2021, Reynolds, known as “Netflix,” has remained a steady presence in the Lions’ running back rotation as he heads into his fifth season with the team.

Meanwhile, O’Connor, a former Eastern Michigan player and a seventh-round draft choice by the Lions in 2017, returns for his second consecutive year after rejoining the team last offseason. The 31-year-old Chicago native made a significant impact as part of the defensive line, compiling 18 tackles, including two for a loss, and a sack across 12 games. His adaptability was highlighted when he stepped in at nose tackle after Kyle Peko’s season-ending pectoral injury during the Week 6 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

O’Connor now joins fellow defensive linemen Marcus Davenport, Levi Onwuzurike, Myles Adams, and Mitchell Agude as players retained by the Lions this offseason.
