Despite the program’s continued emphasis on recruiting under head coach Lane Kiffin, LSU football is getting ready for spring practice. According to Rivals, Ah’Mari Stevens, a four-star wide receiver prospect from Miami, will tour LSU football on April 18.
This spring, Stevens will be visiting other institutions in addition to the Tigers. He has also arranged trips to Miami in late May, Georgia in early June, and Texas later that month.
Stevens is ranked 185th in the Rivals Industry Ranking and is among the top 25 wide receivers in the class. The Fort Lauderdale native made an early commitment to the Hurricanes, but he has made it clear that he is still weighing his possibilities.
“I made an early commitment, but I still want to have fun along the way,” Stevens said to Rivals. “There are places I still want to see. “
According to Rivals’ Chad Simmons, the teams that are most closely competing with Miami are LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas, but the Tigers seem to be in the lead.
“The closest one to Miami is likely LSU. Stevens stated, “They’re approaching really hard. ” “We talk practically every day since Coach George McDonald came down in January. Receivers have always been made by LSU. I am really interested in this school.
Stevens just shared the 40-yard dash he clocked at the 2026 Rivals MIA Combine on his own “X” profile.
Although the recruiting process is still in its early stages, it’s clear how that kind of speed may be replicated in Baton Rouge.
