Kelly Stafford — wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford — has announced that her break from The Morning After podcast will continue indefinitely. Stafford originally stepped away in early October to focus on her mental well-being, and she shared a new update with fans on Wednesday.

In a social media post, Kelly explained that she is taking extended time away to support her husband — who remains in the NFL MVP conversation with the Rams off to a strong 9-2 start — and to be more present for their four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler (8), Hunter (7), and Tyler (5).

“I feel this pull to get back to my roots, and to do that, I have to pour into the people I love most,” she wrote. “I’ve got a husband in the middle of one incredible season, and I want to be fully locked in with him. I want to be present for my girls. I want to give my whole heart to the people who have always given theirs to me.”

Kelly emphasized that this isn’t the end of The Morning After — just a pause.
“This isn’t a goodbye. It’s a ‘see ya later,’” she said. “Thank you for letting me grow, change, fall apart, rebuild, and evolve right alongside you.”

Her co-host Hank Winchester commented with support, writing: “Love. Light. Splashes. Love you all.”

Kelly originally announced a four-week hiatus last month as she evaluated the future of the show. The Morning After first launched in 2021 with Kelly as the solo host before Winchester later joined.

The initial break came shortly after Winchester returned to the podcast following clearance in a law-enforcement investigation tied to allegations surrounding an incident during a June massage.

As of now, Kelly has not shared a timeline for her return but says she is excited for whatever the next chapter of The Morning After eventually becomes.
