The Packers just sent a message loud and clear — and Micah Parsons was the megaphone. Green Bay rolled into Sunday’s divisional showdown and walked out with a 27-13 beatdown of the Lions. And if the scoreboard didn’t sting enough, Parsons added some salt after the game.
“It’s gonna be a long one,” he chirped, looking right at Detroit and letting them know the fight is just getting started. That’s not just trash talk — that’s a warning.
From the jump, Parsons was all over the field. On his very first snap, he sliced right past Penei Sewell, one of the best tackles in football, and immediately got in Jared Goff’s face. Later in the fourth quarter, with the Lions trying to mount a comeback, he dropped the hammer with his first sack as a Packer. Talk about an entrance.
Detroit tried to let Sewell hold his own, but once Parsons broke through, they had to double and chip him. Didn’t matter — Parsons still made plays and even called Sewell his “new rival” in the NFC North. That’s straight-up heat.
Oh, and let’s not forget — this dude just got traded from Dallas LAST WEEK. Green Bay wasted no time giving him the bag: 4 years, $188 million, the richest deal ever for a non-QB. And guess what? Worth every penny.
The Packers didn’t just beat the Lions. They stole their soul a little. And if Parsons has his way, this rivalry just went nuclear.
