Michigan State Lands Kaleb Glenn, Kicking Off Tom Izzo’s Transfer Class

Before his stint at FAU, Glenn began his college career at Louisville. As a freshman, he averaged 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. His decision to enter the transfer portal followed the firing of head coach Kenny Payne, giving Glenn a fresh opportunity to find a better fit—and he seems to have found that in East Lansing.

Glenn has two years of eligibility remaining and is expected to play a significant role immediately. With the Spartans losing several key players to graduation, the NBA Draft, and other transfers, Glenn’s presence adds both depth and experience. His athleticism and physical style of play fit well into the type of tough, defensive-minded basketball Izzo has built his program around.

In addition to Glenn, Michigan State has also added four-star recruits Cam Ward and Jordan Scott to its incoming class. Izzo and his staff are still expected to explore the transfer portal for additional reinforcements as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Glenn’s commitment could prove to be a turning point for the Spartans. His combination of scoring ability, rebounding, and maturity fills an immediate need for a program looking to return to Big Ten and national prominence. If Glenn’s performance at FAU is any indication, Michigan State fans can expect big things from their newest addition. With Tom Izzo at the helm, Glenn may be the first piece in what could be a very competitive MSU roster.
