Jaland Lowe, one of the most promising new additions to the Kentucky Wildcats, is already fired up about what lies ahead for the program in the 2025–26 season. As the Wildcats continue summer practices under head coach Mark Pope, optimism is steadily growing among fans and players alike. Pope, entering his second year at the helm in Lexington, has built an impressive roster that includes a blend of seasoned transfers, talented freshmen, and returning veterans. At the heart of it all is Lowe — a dynamic point guard transfer from Pittsburgh.

Lowe had a breakout season with the Panthers, earning Third-Team All-ACC honors thanks to his stellar playmaking, scoring, and leadership. Now, he steps into a critical role with Kentucky, taking over the reins as the team’s floor general — a position previously held by Lamont Butler. With high expectations on his shoulders, Lowe isn’t shying away from the challenge. In fact, he’s embracing it with enthusiasm, particularly due to the winning mentality that surrounds the Wildcats this year.
