Clark Returns to Fortify the Secondary
The New York Jets announced several roster adjustments ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium. Among the changes, the return of safety Chuck Clark from injured reserve is a key highlight. After recovering from a high ankle sprain sustained against Buffalo on October 14, Clark is set to bolster a struggling defense.
A Veteran Presence in the Backfield
Clark, who was sidelined for four games, practiced in full this week and showed no limitations on the final injury report. With 32 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in six games this season, his presence could help stabilize a Jets secondary grappling with inconsistencies. Although his starting role remains uncertain, his experience is invaluable for a unit that went 1-3 in his absence.
Shuffling Special Teams and Offensive Line
In addition to activating Clark, the Jets elevated kicker Anders Carlson from the practice squad to address their ongoing kicking carousel. Carlson will be the team’s fourth kicker in as many weeks. To make room for these moves, the Jets released offensive lineman Alec Lindstrom.
These strategic adjustments reflect the Jets’ effort to improve their 3-7 record and deliver a strong performance against the Colts. With Clark back in action and Carlson stepping into a pivotal role, all eyes will be on how these changes impact the team’s chances on Sunday.
