Could Aaron Rodgers Find a New Home in 2025?

Aaron Rodgers, one of the NFL’s most iconic quarterbacks, faces an uncertain future as questions loom about whether he will continue his illustrious career or hang up his cleats. If Rodgers does return for the 2025 season but opts not to rejoin the New York Jets, speculation is already swirling about where he could end up. From bridging quarterback gaps to reuniting with familiar faces, here are five potential landing spots for the four-time MVP.

1. Las Vegas Raiders: A Veteran Mentor for a Fresh Start

The Raiders have struggled to stabilize the quarterback position, with a rotating cast of players unable to secure the role. Las Vegas is expected to draft a young quarterback in 2025, possibly someone like Shedeur Sanders or Quinn Ewers. However, introducing a seasoned leader like Rodgers could provide the perfect bridge for a developing talent.

At 2–8, the Raiders are likely to pick early in the 2025 draft, but that doesn’t mean their selection will be ready to take the reins immediately. Rodgers, with 20 years of NFL experience, would bring credibility and mentorship to a team in transition.

2. Minnesota Vikings: Following a Familiar Path

Could history repeat itself? Rodgers moving to the Vikings would mirror Brett Favre’s career trajectory, providing an ironic twist to the quarterback’s story. Currently, the Vikings only have rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy signed for the 2025 season. If McCarthy’s development is slowed by injury or inexperience, the Vikings may look for a short-term solution.

While improbable, Rodgers joining Minnesota would add a dramatic storyline to his final years, especially if he leads the Vikings deep into the playoffs. The NFC North rivalry would gain a whole new layer of intensity.

3. Indianapolis Colts: Filling the Leadership Void

The Colts’ quarterback woes have persisted for years, and while Anthony Richardson shows promise, his inconsistency raises doubts about his readiness to lead the franchise. Rodgers could step in as a steadying presence, much like Joe Flacco’s role in 2024 but with higher expectations for success.

For Indianapolis, signing Rodgers would be a calculated move, offering immediate credibility while keeping their long-term development strategy intact. His presence could buy Richardson or another young quarterback time to grow without overwhelming pressure.

4. Tennessee Titans: A Bridge Between Generations

Will Levis, the Titans’ young quarterback, has yet to convince the franchise of his long-term viability. His struggles, compounded by a poor 4–12 record in his first 16 starts, leave the Titans searching for answers.

If Levis falters down the stretch, Rodgers could step in to stabilize the offense. With his proven track record, Rodgers could help the Titans return to playoff contention while they reassess their quarterback strategy.

5. New York Giants: A Familiar Stage

After years of inconsistency with Daniel Jones, the Giants appear ready to move on. While they could look to the 2025 draft, the quarterback class appears thin, making Rodgers an appealing option for a short-term deal.

Having already played under the New York spotlight with the Jets, Rodgers is no stranger to the pressures of the city. A one-year stint with the Giants could provide the franchise with the time it needs to evaluate longer-term solutions while staying competitive in the NFC East.

Will Rodgers Return?

Although Rodgers has expressed interest in playing in 2025, his future remains uncertain. At 41 years old, with an ever-growing list of injuries, it’s unclear whether he will have the motivation to take on the grueling demands of another NFL season. If he does, the five teams listed above could offer him a unique blend of opportunity, challenge, and legacy.

For now, the NFL world waits to see what Rodgers decides. Whether it’s a farewell season with a new franchise or retirement, the league will once again be captivated by his next move.
