The Detroit Lions are now focusing on the upcoming 2025 offseason after their exit in the Divisional Round against the Washington Commanders. The team’s landscape has seen significant changes, including offensive coordinator Ben Johnson becoming the head coach of the Chicago Bears, where he spoke highly of Dan Campbell in his first press conference. Additionally, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn has left for the New York Jets, taking over as their head coach.

While the Conference Championship Games are still ahead, it was recently announced that Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has been named a finalist for the NFL MVP award by the Associated Press. Goff is up for the honor alongside other top candidates like Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills, Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles, Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals, and Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
