After testing the NBA Draft waters, standout guard Otega Oweh has officially announced his return to the University of Kentucky for his senior season. The announcement comes as a major boost for the Wildcats, who are gearing up for a strong campaign in the 2025–26 college basketball season.

Oweh, who transferred to Kentucky from Oklahoma, played a key role for the Wildcats during his junior year. Averaging 16.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game, he emerged as a consistent force on both ends of the court. He scored in double figures in 33 of the 36 games he played, showcasing his reliability and ability to shine in pressure situations. One of his most memorable moments came in the SEC Tournament, where he hit the game-winning shot against his former team, Oklahoma, leaving their head coach visibly emotional during the postgame press conference.
