In the minutes following his first-ever rodeo ride, 14-year-old Denim Bradshaw lost his life.

Over the weekend, a teenage bull rider in North Carolina lost his life in a tragic incident. At his very first rodeo, 14-year-old Denim Bradshaw fell from a bull and died shortly later.

Preston, Amanda Paquette’s 7-year-old son, and she looked on in despair. Amanda tells Inside Edition, “Both of [the bull’s] legs, together, just came down on the trachea.”

Following that, Denim took two steps, “and on the second step is when he just lifelessly fell,” according to Amanda.

Despite what they saw over the weekend, Amanda’s son, a rider, would be participating in an upcoming event, she claimed.

Younger players frequently ride horses in the rink rather than bulls. Amanda responds, “If it’s where their heart is, absolutely,” when questioned if it is worth it considering the possibility of a tragic fall.
