The only professional bull riding team in Florida will make its home debut from August 2-4 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.

Florida – Saturday, July 27, 2024: On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of next weekend, August 2, 3, and 4, at the Amerant Bank Arena, the Florida Freedom Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will make their Broward County debut.

After playing for two seasons in Oklahoma City, the Florida Freedom moved to South Florida in advance of the 2024 campaign.

Legendary bull rider Paulo Crimber, who was inducted into the Ring of Honor in 2024, leads the Freedom. John Crimber, his 18-year-old son, is coached by him.

This past May, he placed second in the competition for the 2024 Professional Bull Riders World Championship.

The roster has a potent group of rising Brazilians, including Thiago Salgado, Elizmar Jeremias, and Alex Cerqueira, in addition to John Crimber. Caden Bunch, Casey Roberts, and Conner Halverson, qualifiers for the World Finals, ride with them.

Following a season-opening loss to the undefeated Carolina Cowboys, the Freedom overcame the Nashville Stampede 173.75-87.25, thanks in large part to an important 88-point performance from John Crimber.

In an effort to move up the standings and return the next World Championship to Sunrise, the Freedom now focus on South Florida. Each of the 10 teams in the Professional Bull Riders league plays five-on-five, head-to-head bull riding matches throughout the course of the four-month season.

Each team’s overall win-loss-tie record seeds the league rankings, and the team with the highest cumulative score wins each game.
