Dalton’s funeral will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Freedom Church, with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 16, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dial-Murray Funeral Home in Moncks Corner. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jed Foundation or other suicide prevention organizations in Dalton’s memory.

Born on February 3, 2010, in North Charleston, South Carolina, Dalton was the cherished son of J.D. Weise and Amanda Brewer Weise. He thrived academically, earning honors as a Junior Beta Club member at Berkeley High School. His dedication to his education was only rivaled by his devotion to his community, particularly his church, Freedom Church.
A Rising Star in Rodeo
Dalton developed a passion for rodeo early in life and gained recognition on local and national levels. He actively participated in associations like the National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) and South Carolina High School Rodeo Association (SCHSRA). Dalton’s rodeo accolades were remarkable—he was a two-time Bareback Riding Champion and a reserve Bull Riding Champion. He competed for the Shady Acres Rodeo and Rockin G Mafia teams and was recently ranked number 9 worldwide for youth bull riding in the Wrangler Youth Bull Riding (YBR) competition.
Excellence in Wrestling and Grappling
Apart from rodeo, Dalton excelled in grappling and wrestling. He began grappling at Black Force MMA, winning many gold medals. As a wrestler, Dalton joined Berkeley Wrestling and achieved notable success, including winning the Lower State Championship as an 8th grader. His competitive spirit shone through in all his endeavors.
Personal Interests and Hobbies
Beyond competition, Dalton was an avid fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Green Bay Packers. He loved hunting with friends and working out at the gym with his father. Survived By
Dalton is survived by his loving family, including his mother Amanda Brewer Weise and father J.D. Weise, sister Madisyn Weise of Moncks Corner, and brother Craig Weise of Edgefield. His grandparents, Bonnie & Todd Brewer of Moncks Corner, Sophia Atkinson of Summerville, Dodie Weise of Charleston, and Johnny Weise of Savannah, Georgia, also mourn him. His great-grandparents, Barbara & Tommy Atkinson, Brenda Brewer, and Larry & Gail Connor, along with Darlene Weise of Bonneau, survive him as well. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends will miss him deeply.
