For Reece Potter, wearing the Kentucky blue and white is more than just a basketball opportunity—it’s a lifelong dream realized. The 7-foot-1 center, who grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, recently transferred from Miami (Ohio) to join the Kentucky Wildcats, making his homecoming official this offseason.

Potter’s journey to Kentucky wasn’t straightforward. After a strong high school career at Lexington Catholic, where he earned 11th Region Player of the Year honors and was a finalist for Mr. Kentucky Basketball, he began his collegiate journey at Miami (Ohio). Over two seasons with the RedHawks, Potter developed into a versatile big man, averaging around 6.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and showcasing his ability to stretch the floor with a 40% shooting clip from beyond the arc during the 2023–24 season.
