Texas WR Ryan Wingo Out Due to Hamstring Injury

Reports indicate that sophomore wide receiver Ryan Wingo of Texas is sidelined with a hamstring injury, potentially keeping him out for the remainder of spring practice. This adds to the team’s depth issues at the wide receiver position, which were already affected by junior DeAndre Moore Jr.’s recovery from a toe injury.

Wingo, standing 6’2″ and weighing 214 pounds, was a key recruit for Texas in the 2024 class. Despite a strong late recruiting effort from Missouri, the St. Louis native ultimately committed to the Longhorns over programs like Georgia and Michigan. He was ranked as a consensus four-star recruit, coming in at No. 39 nationally and No. 8 at the wide receiver position.
