The Detroit Lions have re-signed cornerback Khalil Dorsey for the 2025 season, though contract details have not been disclosed. Dorsey originally entered the NFL in 2020 as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. After spending a couple of years in Baltimore, he joined the Lions’ practice squad in late 2022. Since then, he has made significant contributions as a special teams player and a depth cornerback. In 2023, he logged 248 special teams snaps, followed by 272 snaps the following year, playing key roles as both a gunner and jammer on the punt teams.

Special teams coordinator Dave Fipp has praised Dorsey for his impact, calling him an “incredible player” and highlighting his exceptional play, particularly in holding off opposing gunners during punt returns.
