In yet another exciting picture finish at Paris 2024, Quincy Hall claimed the gold medal in the men’s 400-meter final on Wednesday by a mere four hundredths of a second.
Matthew Hudson-Smith of Britain broke the previous European record, but Hall beat him to the finish line with a personal best time of 43.40.

In other news, Noah Lyles, who won the men’s 100-meter final on Sunday night in an even more competitive final, advanced to the 200-meter final by placing second in his semifinal.
World No. 1 and reigning Olympic champion Nelly Korda shot a level-par 72 in her opening round at Le Golf National, while the US women’s basketball team defeated Nigeria 88-74.
