Defensive lineman Pat O’Connor, who played college ball at Eastern Michigan before beginning his career in Detroit.
He signed with the Detroit Lions on Thursday. At Tuesday’s practice, Detroit has now substituted defensive lineman John Cominsky and offensive lineman Netane Muti, who were both placed on injured reserve due to injuries.
The team also formally placed Muti on injured reserve and announced the signing of offensive lineman Jake Burton..

O’Connor, 30, was selected by Detroit in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, however he was cut from the practice squad soon after camp and never made the squad.
He played 68 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he was a consistent special teams player and helped the team win a Super Bowl in 2020.
