Dale Earnhardt Jr. has shared his thoughts on the ongoing conflict between 23XI Racing and NASCAR over the recent charter agreement, which 23XI and Front Row Motorsports have yet to sign.

During a recent episode of his podcast, the Dale Jr. Download, the NASCAR Hall of Famer offered his perspective on the possibility of legal action.

The dispute revolves around 23XI Racing, co-owned by Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan, refusing to sign the new charter agreement. Front Row Motorsports is also holding out, setting both teams apart from others in the NASCAR Cup Series who have already agreed. This has led to speculation about potential legal consequences and the future of these teams in the sport.

“It’s interesting, interesting times. I really don’t see this turning into a circus or leading to any sort of legal battle, I really don’t.

“(23XI Racing) might go there, but I don’t think people will really care about a legal fight. I don’t think the public will emotionally invest in a court case or a legal struggle.

“I mean, if it goes to court, will you follow it? I would just think, ‘Okay, they’re doing that. Let’s see what happens.’ … News moves so fast nowadays, with so much crazy stuff happening that in a week you’re onto something else. I feel like this would be the same.

“Once it gets into the court system, I think people will lose interest, and there are other things happening in the sport that will become more important. … I just don’t see this issue stopping the sport in its tracks.”

As of now, 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports continue to stand firm in their refusal to sign the charter agreement, raising questions about their future in NASCAR. If the situation worsens, 23XI Racing, a key team in recent seasons, could potentially leave the sport.
