It ain’t the Vikings, Packers, or Bears … no, according to Kerby Joseph, the true kings of the NFC North are the Lions!
The defensive back made his feelings clear to TMZ Sports following Detroit’s significant Week 7 victory over Minnesota, stating that he firmly believes his team is the top contender in the NFL’s strongest division.
Kerby Joseph Getty He confidently expressed, “I feel like we should win the division and take control as we head into the playoffs and eventually the Super Bowl. We have the right guys and trust each other to play great football.”
Few would dispute Kerby’s assertion, especially after the Lions defeated the previously undefeated Vikings, 31-29, in Minneapolis.
Detroit also overwhelmed the Dallas Cowboys the week before, and for now, it appears the Lions are the top team in the NFC.
However, Green Bay, Chicago, and Minnesota have all shown strength, with the three teams collectively holding a strong 14-5 record.
Aidan Hutchinson getty 1 Getty Regarding whether Detroit could improve further by getting Aidan Hutchinson back from a broken leg, Joseph suggested it’s quite possible the pass rusher might return if the team makes it to the Super Bowl.
For now, though, Kerby insists that Detroit will focus on one game at a time, starting this weekend against the Titans at Ford Field.
