This week, DeMeco Ryans addressed the media about Joe Mixon’s season performance and expressed his confidence in the offense.

On how QB C.J. Stroud using his check down could ease some pressure:

DeMeco: When I talk about improving, it’s about everyone. That means the quarterbacks, tight ends, receivers, the whole offense, our defense, and special teams. It’s not about focusing on one area; each position, top to bottom, needs to step up. If we all improve, we’ll be in a position to win games.

On his thoughts about RB Joe Mixon’s performance this season:

“[RB] Joe [Mixon] has been a dynamic asset for us. Every time he touches the ball, he’s getting positive yards, thanks to the strong blocking up front. They’ve opened up plenty of lanes in the run game. [RB] Joe [Mixon] plays with a relentless, physical style, running over defenders and showing a passion that energizes everyone.”

On his confidence in the offense to respond when players are injured:

DeMeco: As coaches, it’s our job to put players in the best position to succeed, and it’s up to the players to execute at their best. When it’s their moment, are they winning those one-on-one battles? That’s what ultimately determines the outcome of games—whether players make the plays needed to win.
